Thursday, December 5, 2013 - MARSALA (TRAPANI) - The investigating judge of Marsala has closed the case against Anna Corona, as requested by the prosecutor last January, in the second branch of the investigation into the disappearance of Denise Pipitone, who vanished from Mazara del Vallo on September 1, 2004, when she was just under 4 years old. Corona is the mother of Jessica Pulizzi, Denise's half-sister on her father's side, who was acquitted last June of the charge of complicity in the kidnapping of the child. On his Facebook profile, Giacomo Frazzitta, the civil party lawyer assisting Piera Maggio, Denise's mother, wrote: "The investigating judge of Marsala has closed the proceedings against Anna Corona, accepting the request of the Marsala Prosecutor's Office, which got what it wanted, thus rejecting our opposition."''We acknowledge, with regret, both ours and that of the offended parties, the decision of the preliminary investigations judge Annalisa Amato.'' This is what the lawyer from Mazara, Vito Perricone, civil party lawyer assisting Piero Pulizzi, the biological father of Denise Pipitone, the girl who disappeared in Mazara del Vallo (Tp) on September 1, 2004, declares, commenting on the decision of the Marsala investigating judge to dismiss the criminal proceedings against Anna Corona and other people investigated for complicity in the kidnapping. ''Judge Amato,'' he continues, ''decided on the basis of the investigations carried out, from which, evidently, in her opinion, no elements emerged to justify the continuation of the criminal proceedings.'' ''The dismissal,'' says Luisa Calamia, lawyer for Antonino Pipitone, ex-husband of Piera Maggio, Denise's mother, ''is never a definitive measure. The investigation can be reopened at any time. 05 DEC 2013 (AGI) - Trapani, Dec 5 - After the acquittal of Jessica Pulizzi from the charge of kidnapping her half-sister Denise Pipitone, who disappeared on September 1, 2004 in Mazara del Vallo, the investigating judge of Marsala (Trapani), Annalisa Amato, ordered the dismissal of the case against Jessica's mother, Anna Corona, who was under investigation along with others for kidnapping a minor, murder, and concealment of a corpse. The news was announced on his Facebook page by the civil party lawyer Giacomo Frazzitta, legal representative of Piera Maggio, Denise's mother, who had opposed the request for dismissal made by the prosecutors. "The Marsala investigating judge," writes Frazzitta, "has dismissed the case against Anna Corona, accepting the request of the Marsala Prosecutor's Office, which got what it wanted, thus rejecting our opposition." Piera Maggio's bitter outburst on the "Fans Missing Denise Pipitone Mp" page of the social network, also published on the official blog informazione.cerchiamodenise.it: "There are no words," she writes, "to comment on this absurd dismissal and the criteria adopted. I also believe that some will not always sleep peacefully, if they have a conscience! Thanks from Denise, who for years has begged for the love of her parents, justice, and truth!" Under investigation, along with Anna Corona, were Rosaria Pulizzi, Denise's aunt, ex-husband Giuseppe D'Assaro, his daughter Giovanna D'Assaro, her husband Antonino Cina', and Maria Silvana Costa. Piera Maggio has already requested the case be taken up by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Palermo Court of Appeal for this line of investigation and that against Giuseppe Della Chiave, the Mazara chef who, as part of an investigation by the civil party lawyers, was accused by his deaf-mute uncle of having gone to the warehouse on Via Rieti, in Mazara, with little Denise in his arms shortly after her disappearance. Just under a month ago, the Marsala Prosecutor's Office and Denise's mother's lawyer filed an appeal with the General Prosecutor's Office of the Palermo Court of Appeal (which in turn filed an appeal) against the verdict by which last June 27 the Marsala Court acquitted Jessica Pulizzi. Brief considerations on the "oral warning" issued by the Chief of Police towards individuals who may be suspected of possible commission of crimes: "It is an act by which the person concerned is notified that there are suspicions against them; they are invited to maintain conduct in accordance with the law, with the warning that otherwise they may be proposed for the application of one of the preventive measures provided for by law."
It should be noted that the assessment of the social dangerousness of the notified subject does not require conclusive evidence of the commission of crimes, as mere suspicions supported by factual elements are sufficient, such as to lead the Police Authority to consider the prerequisites for the preventive measure to be met, in the event of persistence of the reported conduct (see in this regard Cons. St., sec. VI, 22 February 2010, no. 1023).
The oral warning, having a preventive nature, can also be supported only by a "general circumstantial assessment... based on significant contexts as a whole, rather than on unequivocal facts and defined episodes." It may be considered sufficient for the application of the relevant regulation, in other words, "when it is not possible to document that the person concerned lives off (only) the proceeds of criminal activity or is engaged in illicit trafficking or associates with convicted criminals... that the overall behavioral pattern of the subject reasonably suggests the persistence of social dangerousness." (Council of State, Section 6, Judgment 02468 of April 27, 2011)
The chief of police of the province of residence may orally inform the same individuals that there are suspicions against them, indicating the reasons that justify them.

Trapani, Nov. 11 - The Marsala Prosecutor's Office (Trapani) is also appealing against the acquittal of Jessica Pulizzi for the kidnapping of her half-sister Denise Pipitone. In fact, an appeal has been filed with the General Prosecutor's Office of the Court of Appeal of Palermo against the verdict of the Court that last June 27 acquitted Jessica Pulizzi, half-sister on her father's side of little Denise Pipitone, the girl who disappeared in Mazara del Vallo (Trapani) on September 1, 2004, of the charge of complicity in the kidnapping of a minor. Prosecutors Sabrina Carmazzi and Francesca Rago had requested 15 years in prison for Pulizzi. MARSALA (TRAPANI) - The Marsala Prosecutor's Office has filed an appeal with the General Prosecutor's Office of the Palermo Court of Appeal against the verdict by which, last June 27, the Marsala Court (presiding judge Riccardo Alcamo) acquitted Jessica Pulizzi, 26, of the charge of complicity in the kidnapping of her half-sister Denise Pipitone, who disappeared from Mazara del Vallo (Tp) on September 1, 2004, when she was just under four years old.
The defendant, daughter of the same father as Denise (Piero Pulizzi), was acquitted "for not having committed the act," although with the formula of the second paragraph of article 530 of the code of criminal procedure. That is, for "lack or insufficient formation of evidence." For Jessica Pulizzi, prosecutors Sabrina Carmazzi and Francesca Rago had called for a sentence of 15 years in prison, the maximum penalty provided by the penal code for this crime (child abduction). "A series of clear, unambiguous, and converging clues," the prosecutors stated in their closing argument, "lead us to believe that Jessica was the perpetrator of the abduction. She is guilty beyond any doubt. Even if she could not have acted alone." For false statements to the prosecutor, the Court instead sentenced Gaspare Ghaleb, 28, Jessica's ex-boyfriend, to 2 years in prison. In recent days, lawyer Giacomo Frazzitta, civil party attorney for Piera Maggio, the mother of the missing girl, has also appealed the verdict. The appeal against the sentence of the Marsala court, which last June, at the end of the first-degree trial, acquitted Jessica Pulizzi of the charge of complicity in the kidnapping of a minor in the case concerning the abduction of little Denise Pipitone, could be filed by next Saturday. The appeal will be filed by lawyer Giacomo Frazzitta, civil party attorney representing Denise's mother, Piera Maggio. Barbara Mannucci, in 2009 we achieved this important goal aimed at protecting minors.
Source: Marsala.it The Carabinieri of the Carini Carabinieri Company, supported by those of the Palermo Group and the Provincial Commands of Brescia and Trapani, are executing several precautionary custody orders issued by the GIP of Palermo at the request of the local District Anti-Mafia Directorate: the alleged crimes are those of criminal association aimed at committing various crimes including "human trafficking" (art. 601 C.P.), "kidnapping" (Art. 605 C.P.), and "removal and retention of a minor abroad" (Art. 574 bis C.P.). The associative crime is aggravated by the fact that the organization was engaged in criminal activities in more than one State (art. 4 L. 146/2006). The investigations have made it possible to identify an organization operating in several countries around the world (Tunisia, Cyprus, Egypt, Lebanon, etc.) dedicated to organizing "recoveries" of minors disputed between parents from different countries, with the planning, organization, and execution of actual kidnappings, often using violence. Among those involved is a former Russian athlete, bronze medalist in sailing at the Seoul 1988 Olympics, owner of a luxury boat rental company in Palermo.

There is no expression that can convey the pain caused over these years by the absence of our Denise, a dull ache that hammers our minds every passing day, every minute you live. No mother or father in the world should have to live the endless nightmare of the absence of a missing child.
One cannot understand the malice that reigns in some people, nor the persistence that reigns in others. Those who suffer a wrong and live in pain deserve the respect they are due, without being trampled by sterile criticism or false kindness; beautiful phrases full of hypocrisy are of little use.
No one will ever be able to repay me for the time lost, for the love torn from my little girl, a race against time that can never be recovered, the harm has already been done, what for some is just routine daily work, for us is a life full of perpetual and daily suffering.
At this moment I prefer to remain silent, to wait, but not to stop fighting for the truth. We want justice for the guilty, about whom I have never made a secret; they have stained themselves with an act so vile and inhuman, full of wickedness.
I will fight for good to triumph over evil, children must be defended, protected from monsters, from the big bad wolf, even silence makes one guilty of such an act. I will never stop thinking about the moment when I can hold my little girl, now almost a young lady, in my arms again.

Dedicated to Denise and all the kidnapped children, so that you know that children do NOT disappear, but are stolen............it seems to me I can hear the sound of kisses gone to waste from a mother. It seems to me that the silence we have fallen into after the acquittal verdict makes a deafening noise. It seems to me that the uproar and bewilderment have suddenly become a deafening silence. It seems to me that the rightful claim to love, which like the sound of a waterfall gushed from the heart of a mother and of all those who have a heart, has become a silent river that relentlessly flows toward the sea of truth. It seems to me that there is a time to speak and a time to be silent. It seems to me that the malice of all those who have offended us with words and phrases that should be alien to justice has become useless stupidity and empty greed for pain.
I believe that the reason of the righteous will emerge, even if the delay will be incomprehensible for a mother who has forever lost all these years of life with her daughter. In this sad and violent story there will be neither winners nor losers because in this case time has stolen space from a mother and her wonderful little girl. See you soon Denise

LETTER from the students of the scientific high school of Mazara del Vallo.
Dear Mrs. Piera, the day after tomorrow is Denise's birthday, an occasion that is especially sad for you, your family, but also for the entire Mazara community. Denise would have blown out 13 candles, making the wishes typical of all teenagers.
This letter arises from the desire to make her feel the presence of all of us, for her who, at times, in these years of darkness, loneliness, suffering, and sadness, thinks she has been left alone in her pain. Alone in the memory of her daughter whom she can no longer hug, caress, play with, sing with, laugh with, eat with, or sleep together in that “big bed” where so many times, who knows how many, she must have cuddled her.
Speaking to a mother who is suffering is difficult, there are no words to ease such a devastating pain. She has shown herself to be a strong woman, a woman who does not want to give up, a woman who immediately understood that in order to search for her little Denise she had to make herself heard by everyone, she had to shout to the whole world that her little girl, who disappeared into thin air, had to be searched for. And she accepted television interviews, she published photos of her daughter everywhere, she mobilized our “city council” to organize torchlight processions, so as not to forget the violence against this innocent creature who was taken from her parents and their love. It is to this special mother that my class and I wanted to reach out, to make her feel our warmth, our comfort as teenagers almost the same age as her Denise.
It is said that a parent would never want to outlive their own child. You, Mrs. Piera, who knows well the meaning of this phrase, continue to behave as you do because, even if your life now may seem meaningless without your little one, and you will be deeply affected by trials and hidden truths, your little Denise needs this “courageous mother” who, after so many years, still keeps attention and searches alive for her daughter, who also represents all the children who, every day, disappear into thin air around the world.
With the hope that a dream, not impossible to achieve, may allow us to all come together soon around a giant cake to blow out 1000 candles, representing the 1000 hugs we would like to give to a friend whom unfortunately we know only from wanted photos, Happy Birthday Denise!

And so I think that doing one's duty, respecting the laws, is the right and proper thing to do. I also think that those who have done harm while hiding behind the shield of an acquittal verdict should avoid continuing to persist in wrongdoing, soaring over the souls of honest and sincere people. Italy is that country founded on backroom deals and recommendations, and it is rare for someone to hold a top position due to their own merits; often, in all institutions, there are managers who do not deserve the role they hold, and from that position they direct and favor whomever they want with the same rotten criteria by which they came to hold that role. The expert report does not clarify the doubts about the super witness
October 11, 2013 - There is still no definitive opinion on the ability to understand and communicate of Battista Della Chiave, the 74-year-old deaf-mute who, in March, told the civil party lawyers that he had seen little Denise Pipitone shortly after her disappearance, on September 1, 2004, in a warehouse on Via Rieti, in Mazara del Vallo (Trapani), in the arms of his nephew, Giuseppe Della Chiave, who is under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office for this reason.
Before the Marsala preliminary hearing judge, Annalisa Amato, in fact, the psychiatrist Antonino Sammartano, heard during an evidentiary hearing, would not have, according to the civil party lawyers, expressed a clear and definitive opinion. On June 11, again before Judge Amato, the star witness exercised his right not to answer as he is a relative of the suspect. Giuseppe Della Chiave, a cook, is the latest person under investigation for the kidnapping of Denise.
An accusation from which, last June 27, the Marsala court acquitted (albeit with the formula of lack or insufficient evidence) the stepsister Jessica Pulizzi (the defendant and the missing child are daughters of the same father: Piero Pulizzi); while in a second line of investigation, Anna Corona, Jessica's mother, is also involved along with others. At the end of the evidentiary hearing held today, the civil party lawyer Giacomo Frazzitta, legal representative of Piera Maggio, Denise's mother, said that "there have been serious violations of the right to defense by the experts (in addition to Sammartano, two sign language experts were also heard, ed.), which we will assert in the appropriate venues, so we will submit a request to the prosecutor's office for the formulation of a new evidentiary hearing." Regarding the outcome of the expert opinion entrusted to Sammartano, lawyer Frazzitta stated that "the fundamental points were not addressed." (Source: www.si24.it)

Mazara del Vallo, October 11, 2013 - Denise case: we will announce our decisions regarding the evidentiary hearing after we have reviewed the transcripts of today's session. We can state that, in our opinion, there have been serious violations of the right to defense by the experts, which we will assert in the appropriate venues, and we will submit a request to the Prosecutor's Office for a new evidentiary hearing.... unfortunately.... these are the delays of the Italian justice system. I am seriously disappointed once again as a citizen and a father before being a lawyer.

11/10/2013 - Today in Marsala, before Judge Annalisa Amato, the second hearing of the evidentiary incident involving Battista Della Chiave will take place. He is the 74-year-old deaf-mute who told the civil party lawyers that he saw little Denise Pipitone shortly after her disappearance on September 1, 2004, in a warehouse on Via Rieti, in Mazara del Vallo, in the arms of his nephew, Giuseppe Della Chiave, who is now under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office. But before the judge, last June 11, the witness exercised his right not to answer because he is a relative of the suspect.
Today, the hearing of psychiatrist Antonino Sammartano is scheduled, who carried out an assessment on the deaf-mute; together with the other two experts, Maria Giglio and Pietro Lombardo, he caused the hearing to be postponed.
Giuseppe Della Chiave, cook, is the latest person under investigation for the abduction of the minor. The party's consultant is Tiziana Nicolazzo
Piera Maggio has already asked the General Prosecutor of the Court of Appeal of Palermo to take over both the investigation arising from Della Chiave's statements and the one against Anna Corona, Jessica's mother.
In the Denise case, journalist Sciarelli was recently questioned in Marsala. The interrogation she underwent lasted an hour and a half. The popular host of the Rai3 program "Chi l'ha visto?" was interviewed by prosecutor Alberto Di Pisa. Upon entering the Palace of Justice in Piazza Borsellino, Sciarelli stated: "I was summoned as a person informed of the facts. I don't know which facts I will have to answer about." Upon leaving, she simply said that the interrogation was "classified" and therefore she could not report anything. Not even about the topic on which she was questioned. Source: marsala.it

AGI) - Trapani, Oct. 3 - Journalist Federica Sciarelli, host of the Rai 3 program "Chi l'ha visto?", was interviewed this morning by the Marsala Prosecutor's Office (Trapani). "I was summoned," Sciarelli said upon her arrival at the courthouse, "as a person informed of the facts by prosecutor Alberto Di Pisa, but I don't know which facts we are talking about." The subject and content of the interrogation are being kept strictly confidential, as the journalist reiterated after leaving the Prosecutor's Office after about an hour and a half. Sciarelli's program has closely followed the case of little Denise Pipitone, who disappeared in Mazara del Vallo on September 1, 2004, at almost 4 years old, and the trial for her abduction against her half-sister Jessica Pulizzi, who was acquitted last June 27. "We have dealt a lot with Denise," the journalist concluded, "and we will continue to do so until she is found." (AGI) .

The Marsala preliminary hearing judge, Annalisa Amato, has postponed to next October 11 the second hearing of the evidentiary incident involving Battista Della Chiave, the 74-year-old deaf-mute who told the civil party lawyers that he saw little Denise Pipitone shortly after her disappearance on September 1, 2004, in a warehouse on Via Rieti, in Mazara del Vallo (Trapani), in the arms of his nephew, Giuseppe Della Chiave, who is now under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office. But before the judge, last June 11, the witness exercised his right not to answer because he is a relative of the suspect.
DENISE PIPITONE AND THE INTERROGATION OF THE DEAF-MUTE WITNESS - Almost three months after the acquittal of Jessica Pulizzi, Denise's half-sister, the case of the missing girl was supposed to return to a courtroom today. The hearing of psychiatrist Antonino Sammartano, who carried out an assessment of the deaf-mute witness, was scheduled for today, but the absence of two other experts, Maria Giglio and Pietro Lombardo, caused the hearing to be postponed. Giuseppe Della Chiave, a cook, is the last person under investigation for the kidnapping of the minor, but he was absent this morning at the courthouse, as was his uncle, Battista. "I am very calm about the favorable outcome of the trial," commented Walter Marino, the suspect's lawyer, "also in light of what the party consultant Tiziana Nicolazzo told me about the assessment."
PIERA MAGGIO AT HOME - Denise's mother, Piera Maggio, chose not to be present today. "Her absence," said her lawyer, Giacomo Frazzitta, "is worth more than a thousand presences. The statements that Battista Della Chiave made to us, the civil party lawyers," he continued, "are truthful and spontaneous and we are certain of it. Perhaps they cannot have procedural follow-up, but the fact remains." Piera Maggio has already asked the General Prosecutor's Office of the Palermo Court of Appeal to take over both the investigation arising from Della Chiave's statements and the one against Anna Corona, Jessica's mother. (September 23, 2013) The absence of two experts (Maria Giglio and Pietro Lombardo) postponed to October 11 the hearing, before the Marsala preliminary hearing judge Annalisa Amato, of psychiatrist Antonino Sammartano, appointed by the judge to report on the mental capacity of Battista Della Chiave, the 74-year-old deaf-mute from Mazara who had told the civil party lawyers that he had seen little Denise Pipitone, a few hours after her disappearance (September 1, 2004), in a warehouse on Via Rieti, in Mazara del Vallo.
The little girl, according to the witness, was in the arms of her nephew, Giuseppe Della Chiave, who is therefore under investigation for complicity in the kidnapping of a minor. However, last June 11, before Judge Amato, at the first hearing of the evidentiary incident, the witness exercised his right not to answer because he is a relative of the accused. At today's hearing, Piera Maggio, the mother of the missing child, decided not to be present. Her lawyer, Giacomo Frazzitta, stated: "The statements that Battista Della Chiave made to us, the civil party lawyers, are truthful and spontaneous and we are certain of this. Perhaps they cannot have procedural follow-up, but the fact remains."
From the investigation arising from the statements of Della Chiave and those against Anna Corona, mother of Jessica Pulizzi (acquitted about three months ago by the Marsala Court with the formula of the second paragraph of article 530 of the code of criminal procedure), Piera Maggio has already requested the case be taken over by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Palermo Court of Appeal. There are crimes that are committed against the person. And they are serious.
But there are actions that, even though they harm one or more specific people,
are to be considered crimes against humanity.
All this due to the gravity and heinousness that characterize them.
You don't need to be a dictator of some remote country to
commit this type of crime.
Just act and think against the very meaning of another's existence
individual, without respect for the dignity of the person and the right to life.
And if the harmed individual is a defenseless child, there is no longer any
mitigating factor for those who committed this despicable act.
The deep shame of our silence is the evil of our time,
because our cities are the cradle of merciless monsters, rigidly cold
in pursuing their criminal intent, and ruthless in their actions.
It doesn't matter if there is an innocent victim on the other side, what matters
for these non-persons it is to satisfy their boundless need for revenge and
of horror.
And no one has the courage to say enough, because if a protest is raised, a rightful one
and sensible, common cowardice raises its voice even more cynically and
senseless: "it's a matter that concerns them, their family, that's why it is
success”.
And so from family to family, the monsters roam undisturbed, stealing and
killing, without any restraint or morality, because they are inhuman, nor
material, because after all "these are private matters".
And so it's normal for a girl to get rid of her unwanted little sister, maybe
because she is the daughter of another mother. Exactly... these are just “issues in the
family.”
Thus we silence our fear of one day becoming involved in these unpleasant
business, because we are “different” from “those families over there”.
We feel immunized against evil, protected by the shield of our good
meaning and from our more than recognized “good acquaintances”.
That's why monsters exist. Because we don't want to see them.
Can we live with the idea that monsters can strike us too?
We can accept our fragility in the face of the ignoble evil that pervades
their logical unconsciousness?
We claim the right to express our fear. Our voice
lever to focus on the point of origin that determines the harm that to us
arrives.
It is an invitation addressed to everyone, an appeal to the sense of freedom and
justice: let's not get used to monsters.
When we recognize one, we have the courage to shout: “monster!”.
Because maybe, besides us, someone else will be able to see it too.

Mazara del Vallo, September 1st, 2013. Nine years have passed since the abduction of little Denise, and her mother, Piera Maggio, is fighting for the return of her missing daughter: “From today something changes in me, and in the way I express myself publicly. I am waiting for the reasons for the first instance verdict, ready to appeal it… I believe that by now it is no longer necessary to provide further evidence or explanations. For those who have been following this story for years, there are no unclear facts. Even if in the past I might have had doubts (and I didn’t), today I have only certainties. And like me, all the people, the decent citizens, who are aware of the facts that occurred, even if no one can make it public yet.” In the meantime, a public initiative is being launched addressed to the Holy See, to Pope Francis, who has made headlines for his great ability to communicate with the faithful. Piera Maggio writes a letter to the Vatican: “I ask our Pope to intervene directly to support all those initiatives (see Brussels, ed.) for the search for missing minors that only await a strong push to be launched. To his spirit as a magnanimous and kind man, who cares so much for children, I appeal for a constructive meeting. When children’s lives are at stake, ‘ORA’ gives way to ‘LABORA’. I am sure that Pope Francis will be able to understand my words and the need to do something.”

Mazara del Vallo August 31, 2013 - Tomorrow, September 1, 2013, marks the sad anniversary, 9 years have passed, since the abduction of a little girl named Denise.
We live in a strange country, where those who harm a child are free to do whatever they want, despite the awareness of who the real culprits of the abominable act were. By now, in our case, everyone knows how things went, and today more than ever we are certain of it; only a few still refuse to accept that, despite the passing years, nothing has changed. Who knows why? And yet, it's always them, the same ones from that damned first of September 2004.
Denise, where are you, where have they taken you, when will I be able to hug you again, these are the questions that for 9 long years I keep asking myself and that no one has yet been able to answer. The years go by but not the pain, for a wrong that continues to grow and for which justice has not yet been served. Denise, we will always be waiting for you!!

Tomorrow, September 1, 2013, it will be 9 years since the abduction of Denise Pipitone and it seems to me that I can hear the sound of kisses gone to waste from a mother. It seems to me that the silence we have fallen into after the acquittal verdict makes a deafening noise. It seems to me that the clamor and bewilderment have suddenly become a deafening silence. It seems to me that the rightful claim to love, which like the sound of a waterfall gushed from the heart of a mother and of all those who have a heart, has become a silent river that relentlessly flows toward the sea of truth. It seems to me that there is a time to speak and a time to be silent. It seems to me that the malice of all those who have offended us with words and phrases that should be alien to justice has become useless stupidity and empty greed for pain.
I believe that the reason of the righteous will emerge, even if the delay will be incomprehensible for a mother who has forever lost all these years of life with her daughter. In this sad and violent story there will be neither winners nor losers because, in this case, time has stolen space from a mother and her wonderful little girl. The child is not nothing. Life, joy, the sky, the future, the present, darkness, pain, absence, the end. Memory and despair. These are the two extremes between which the thoughts and feelings of those mothers and fathers oscillate, to whom someone has taken away the happiness of the home, and of life itself. (Piera Maggio)
Taken from something I wrote. "Since that September 1st, 2004, our Angel disappeared into Nothingness" (on June 26th, 2007, at that time the new criminal offense had not been approved. Subsequently, Law 94/2009 came into force on August 14th, 2009.

(NEWS INFORMATION) ON JULY 12, 2013, REVOCATION OF AUTHORIZATION, FOR THE ONLINE PETITION - Mazara del Vallo July 13, 2013 - Dear all, we invite EVERYONE to suspend their support for the (Denise Pipitone is everyone's daughter Petition The appeal of Piera Maggio) This initiative was started about a year ago, not created by Piera Maggio, but she had nevertheless given her consent for the public press release contained within it (press release launched on the day of the eighth sad anniversary of Denise's disappearance, therefore not specifically created for the petition) We believe, as has also been informed and shared by the creator and promoter of the "petition" initiative, THAT ON OUR PART THE PETITION SHOULD NO LONGER CONTINUE, REVOKING THE AUTHORIZATION, AS WRITTEN, because the objective for which it was created has long been achieved, since in the past we were told that everything had already been sent to the recipients of this popular initiative, so for us, the reason for which it was created is concluded, and it is not useful to continue carrying it forward. The online petition has no legal validity, the signature must be handwritten, and accompanied by strong authentication, such as personal data and a copy of the identity card, in order to prove the match between the identity declared online and the real identity.
